If you are looking for a nice weekend trip from Mexico City we definitely recommend a visit to this beautiful place. Querétaro is a lovely city known for its well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture and for being one of Mexico’s safest cities. The city of Querétaro (officially Santiago de Querétaro) is located just over 200km northwest of Mexico City and is easily reached by bus. I would definitely skip Monterrey and more days in San Luis Potosí, for your last leg you can take a flight to more interesting places like, Oaxaca, Puebla, Veracruz, Campeche or Yucatán.Taking the Bus from Mexico City to Querétaro Zacatecas has a beautiful UNESCO historic centre, but nowadays it's one of the most dangerous cities in the country, so maybe for this trip I would skip it.ĥ. A day trip to Aguascalientes is possible. There are many waterfalls as Tamul or Tamasopo, natural wonders as the Sótano de las Golondrinas, and the surrealist garden of Edward James in Xilitla. On the other hand, you can join a tour for the Huasteca Potosina, the rainforest part of that state. 1 week in San Luis Potosí (city) is tooo much, It's not a UNESCO city as the others in your itinerary, so the attractions are few, 1 or 2 nights would be enough. Some people go there for months, so I would try to, at least, sleep there 2 or 3 nights.Ĥ. San Miguel de Allende deserves more than a day trip. Pozos is a "ghost town" so it would be very difficult to arrive there in bus. Bernal, Tequis, el Pueblito can be done easily on your own using public transportation. away from Centro, you must pay for the taxi at the booths.Ģ. You can buy in advance in either or primera.
